Tamar Lotishvili – Phileas Fogg’s New Year

New Year is coming. New expectations, new wishes and new adventures are coming with New Year. It would be interesting for me how Phileas Fogg, his family and his friends are going to celebrate New Year. This is what I am going to write about in my essay.

Phileas Fogg and his wife are decorating Christmas tree , Jean Passepartout is cooking ginger breads and other Christmas meals too, throwing fireworks, singing and playing, inviting close friends but they do not know how to use their phones so Aouda has got a friend whose name is Mr. Seeker. Aouda sends a letter  and asks for help. Mr. Seeker comes to their house and helps them. Phileas Fogg must be very interested in modern technologies, internet and this would be a challenge but he would not be afraid of challenges. He would use the internet and modern technologies to travel again in those countries where he travelled around the world in 80 days. Aouda would learn how to use internet and order food by Glovo.

Finally, if Phileas Fogg travelled in 21th century he would have some problems in learning technologies, but he would overcome it soon.

 As for me, I would like to travel in the USA, visit Disneyland and have fun there in 2022. I can visit amusement parks, a rollercoaster, fairytale land where I can meet Snow White, Elsa and many others.

Hi, I am Gulliver nice to meet you! I want to tell you one story about my adventure but first, I want to tell you about myself.  

 When it’s a New Year, I always get a Christmas tree. My wife son and me, always celebrate the New Year. I always had one big problem, they had missions. My lord always had a mission for me. I don’t have time to enjoy these wonderful times, but there is one way how to avoid these situations. I’ll visit my lord, and say to him that I went to enjoy some time with my family. My lord is very heartfelt, so I think he will say yes. I would like a brand new ship for Christmas.  

Now it’s time to tell my adventure in Lapland.  

In December 31, at 23.30 p.m. my friends and I were going on a mission in Lapland. We had to explore this country and write something about it. It was 23:59 p.m. when something strange happened. Right at 00:00 we flew up in the sky! Our ship was soiling on clouds. I was so amazed! We were flying! 

At that moment, we saw a sled flying in the sky. Of course, we thought it was Santa Claus and we were right! Santa was flying to us. When he jumped off the sled, we said hello to him. We told him that we love him and we followed him to Lapland. We landed on the snow and entered his house. In Santa’s home, he gave us ted with bread and jam. Then he spoke to us:  

– Nice to meet you, young boys! 

– Said Santa.

– It’s nice for me, too! Answered my friend Jack. 

– How old are you, Mr. Santa? – I asked  

– I’m not as old as you! I’m about 64 years old, boys! – answered Santa!   

We all hoped that we’ll set good presents as ship, golds and etc.  

– I wish that I had a new ship I dreamt in mind. 

– Mr. Santa, how do you get all these presents for kids? Asked john (my another friend), it’s a secret, young boys! – said Santa! 

In the end, Santa Claus gave us a few bottles of water and fruit because we didn’t have any and we arrived home happily.  

What do you like for Christmas? 

Me: I’d like a brand new car.

Saba Kvinikadze – Larry puts Christmas story

It was a normal day, I was watching a movie about a candy machine, the machine that was able to make candy out of anything! Christmas was coming close so I decide to write a letter to Santa! After finishing writing a letter I put it into mailbox and went home. Finally it was January 1st, I ran down to my Christmas tree excited about my present. I saw a candy machine waiting for me under the Christmas tree, and I immediately started to use it. All you needed is to press a button when I pressed it, it gave me candy. After that, I called my friend and told him about the candy machine. He was shocked, he said: wow this is very cool can we test it together? I said that I have already tested it, friend: it’s ok I want to see your machine that gives you candy. Ok just come to my house and I will show you. The next day he came to my house and I showed him the machine. My friend said that we could use it to make Lilliputians happy, I really liked his idea so I decided to tell everything to emperor, he seemed to like it too, I couldn’t be happier.  After that I started to sell candy everyone in the town seemed to like it too, as the time pas candy started to sell even more and more candy, but one day…. something really bad happened. The candy machine broke, and I had to throw it away. Before I could leave it started to work on its own I was very confused but I didn’t have time to think because all of sudden a big monster formed out of candy and started to break and crush everything  that was in the way. It started to run after me, I was so scared I couldn’t even move! But suddenly I saw someone jump on the monster from behind, they when chopped his head off and saved me, to be honest without them I would probably be dead. This was my story. Hi my name is Saba.  This year I want to learn more about English, about the world and other languages. I want to meet more people. And I want the pandemic to end. Thanks for looking

Saba Bakuria

On New Year’s morning, Phileas Fogg went with his friends to the club to read the newspaper and play cards. Aouda made plum pudding, roast turkey, roast potatoes, roast parsnips, pigs in blankets (mini sausages wrapped in bacon), stuffing… Phileas Fogg brought punch and wine.

Later his friend came. They were Mr. Sack and Lemuel Gulliver.

– Hello, how are you? – Phileas asked.

– We are fine, thank you! And how are you?

– I am fine too. I invited you to my New Year’s party!

– Thank you!  – They said.

Mr. Sack and Lemuel Gulliver came to Gulliver’s house. Passepartout turned on the music and they all started dancing. Aouda laid the table and Fogg with his friends started eating. Phileas Fogg said the toast:

– Wish you more happiness than all my words can tell, not just for the holidays, but all the year as well.

Later, all the guests left. Phileas Fogg and Aouda got under the mistletoe and kissed.

Saba Abesadze – Phileas Fogg’s New Year

My favorite character is Phileas Fogg, from the book “Around the world in eighty days”. He traveled around the world. He saved the women to death in India. Her name was Aouda. Phileas Fogg and Aouda arrived in London and they got married. They were very happy. Now Phileas Fogg and Aouda have got two children, a boy and a girl. Their names are: John and Molly. John is eight years old and Molly is five years old. Phileas Fogg was a rich man. He had a big house and also a big Yard. Children like holidays especially the New Year and Christmas. Phileas Fogg, Aouda and children went to Covent Garden for shopping. They bought a Christmas tree, Christmas socks, toys for Christmas tree and presents. Phileas Fogg, Aouda and children went home and started preparing for the holiday. They decorated home, yard and Christmas tree with shining decorations, toys and to hung stockings for presents. Phileas Fogg, Aouda and children put traditional dishes, cake, champagne, Coca-Cola on the table. Its 12 hours they congratulated each other on the New Year. Children saw presents under the Christmas tree in the morning. They were happy.  My New Year was very good. My presents from Santa was Drone and Board game.

Nutsa Bachiashvili – Gulliver’s New Year

Now I will tell you about Gulliver’s New Year’s Eve and his adventure. Gulliver decided to meet the New Year with his new friends, and he went to the king’s palace. The king was very glad and happy. He asked Lilliputians to decorate the palace to put a very big and beautiful Christmas tree. He invited a lot of people, they had a lot of sweets and cakes. Everybody sang and danced. Suddenly the king saw that there wasn’t a golden star on the top of the Christmas tree. Everyone thought that Gulliver was the thief because only Gulliver could reach the star. One bed man said that he saw how Gulliver took the star. Gulliver was arrested. Suddenly professor Verity has come. He told the bed man to sit on the truth machine chair. Professor Verity put some questions to the men. It was clear that the man was the thief. Gulliver was free and happy. Everybody was happy. Gulliver’s desire was to stay there forever. The king’s desire also was the same, he wanted Gulliver to stay with them forever. At 12 o’clock Santa Claus has come and everybody was gifted with presents. Children made the snowmen in the garden and Gulliver the king and professor Verity played with snowballs with children and Lilliputians. It was the most beautiful night in their life.

Nutsa’s New Year’s Eve

2022 I spent a special time in a new environment in Kakheti hotel Savaneti. My father made me a surprise as I have a birthday on December 31st. There were a lot of people, my parent’s friends with their families. I was very happy. We were dancing, singing and we spent a very good time. When there were 5 minutes left before the New Year, my mother entered the hall with my birthday cake. The cake was super nice with 10 candles. I put out the candles on the cake in front of all guests and at the same time there were the sounds of fireworks from outside. Everybody was wishing me a happy birthday and a happy New Year too. It was super funny for me. I was so proud and thankful for my parents that they organized 10th birthday by this way. It was unforgettable. By 2022 I plan to study well, and also want to take a swimming class to improve my swimming. If I have time, I will take a drawing class too.

Keso Bachiashvili – Santa and professor Verity

The New Year was coming. Santa Claus got a lot of letters from children all over the world and started to gather presents for them. In the morning of December 31, he started his journey. When Santa arrived in London he was attacked by the criminals. Criminals took Santa’s clothes and all gifts. Poor Santa was arrested by the police. Nobody believed that he was the real Santa. This time professor Verity came in the police office. He saw this man and was very surprised. He asked Santa to sit on the truth machine’s chair and asked a lot of questions. Professor Verity: Where are you from? Santa: from Lapland. Professor Verity: Which transport did you use? Santa: I arrived by the sleigh. Professor Verity why did you arrive? Santa: To give presents to the children. Suddenly Santa found a letter in his pocket. It was the letter from a boy who wanted to get a Christmas gift. Santa said if you don’t believe me go and check. The inspector found a boy and was sure that the arrested man was Santa Claus. After that the police found criminals, took Santa’s clothes and gifts. There were only 10 minutes before the New Year. Professor verity took Santa with his car and they gave all gifts to everybody. The Children were very happy and Santa was very happy too.

Keso’s New Year Eve

This New Year was special for me because I spent it with my parents not at home, but in the nice Hotel Savaneti in Kakheti. There were a lot of children. There was a New Year’s concert and everybody enjoyed it. I danced a lot, even I sang a song in front of all guests. Everybody applauded me. I was so proud. Suddenly Santa Claus entered the hall, he gave us gifts and sweets. When I came closer to him, suddenly I recognised him, wow it was my uncle.  I didn’t say anything to him, but it was so funny. He tried to speak in a different voice like he were a very old man. I laughed a lot. When the fireworks started I thought my favourite dreams come for this New Year. I hope it works and for the next year my dreams will come true. 

We had a very good time. I never forget that night.  For the next year I want to take modern dance classes. I love to dance, when I hear the music I start dancing. I also want to improve my English and go for travel to Europe with my parents.

Giorgi Bakhutashvili – What Will Save the World

The 15 centimeters tall little men loved Gulliver very much, they became friends and lived together in peace… Yes, you are right… You guessed it… I am going to tell you a very interesting story about the well-known Gulliver and about human love…Gulliver already could understand Lilliputian and fluently speak in their language. He was a quite clever man and gave wise advice to people who needed it.  He was very kind and gave a hand with hundreds of little men, in bad or at the good times, especially when there was a storm, or the sea was rough at night, when the beach was fighting with high waves, and mountains around the temple were snowed by heavy white cold snow, when there was a terrible freeze and the gigantic ice cubes were lying near their small houses …  He helped them when the apple trees in the paradise garden were harvested…When there was an amazing holiday, he was as good for the housewives as for children or men.  No one could attack Lilliput, the country was fully defended. Only happiness, freedom, and love existed around them and in their little hearts. The Lilliput country loved holidays.  In these times they have funny days together. They were dancing, singing and laughing all day long. Everyone was happy, thankful, joyful, with a wide smile on their faces. 

It was a terrible virus…which spread very fast on the Earth and destroyed many people’s happiness…Despite it, people didn’t give up and deeply believed that once this trouble will end, like a nightmare…  It was one of the favorite holidays for people. Everyone was preparing for this magical day of the year and choosing special nice costumes. The streets were decorated in bright colors. These were not easy days, but everyone tried to be happy and somehow forget about the virus a little bit, and celebrate the New Year’s days… Gulliver stood up early morning, dressed, and went to the deepest forest. After a while, he found the most beautiful Christmas tree and brought it to the center of the city. Every child wanted to decorate the tree and they carefully held the Christmas toys with their tiny fingers. On top of the tree, there was twinkling a huge bright Christmas star. Everyone was standing around the tree and looking up to the shining star. Every little man had one wish: soon dangerous virus would disappear, and never come back to hurt people’s hearts. Gulliver had a secret desire and was trying to make his dream come true… He worked hard every day to invent medicine, which will save people’s lives all over the world… He never gave up…Tried and tried with heart…And did all his best… Once he will leave Lilliput’s country, he will meet with his nice family. He missed his two curly blond babies with blue, wide, angel eyes. Every day he dreamed to hug his kind, beautiful wife… Gulliver truly believed in himself and one amazing day, he found the magic formula and created a wonder pill… The virus already will never defeat human beings…That was victory… One big boat was standing in the sea, waiting to let it go…There were hundreds of little creatures with big hearts on the beach …Gulliver was leaving the country of Lilliput, where he learned that everything is possible, every dream comes true, love and care is the most important thing in our life…and never give up… 

As you see, 2022 was a lucky year. My story comes to the end. 2022 had a really happy and nice ending. Never forget: we live in a wonderful world, where we must care for each other and we must be full of love…  Wishing you a Happy New Year…Stay positive, work hard…May the New Year bring joy, peace, and happiness to you and your entire family!

Aleksandre Samkharadze – Professor Verity’s New Year!

Hello, my name is professor Verity. I have a lot of LEDs, so I use them to get ready for Christmas. I also have two Christmas trees, I put one on the front porch and one in the living room and I love decorating them. On Christmas Eve, me and my friends visit New York. We love to watch decorated streets and NBA games. We camp out in the local park. In my opinion, in the year 2022 no one would believe, that I invented the “Truth Machine”, but I would prove that by hooking someone up on the truth machine and proving that.

Nikoloz Mania – Gulliver’s New Year Story

Gulliver and his friends appeared in Tbilisi in 2021. This was the day before the New Year. They said: We never saw such a beautiful street. They saw a very high Christmas tree too. They liked small toys on the tree. They saw Santa Claus too. Gulliver and his friends ran to the Christmas tree. When they ran, they saw a strange thing that had 4 wheels. The boy on the street said to them: Watch out! They jumped: 

-What’s that?  

-This is a car.  

– A Car?!  

-This car is smaller than my ship. 

– A Ship? 

-And where is your ship? 

-It disappeared. 

-Who are they? 

-They are my friends.  

-And where are you going to sleep? 

-We don’t know that too. 

-Come to my house. 

-I have many beds for you.  

-Really? 

-Yes, of course. 

-Thank you very much! 

-They went to his house and slept. It was 12 o’clock. When Gulliver stood, he saw a strange thing again. It was a mobile phone. Gulliver asked the boy: – What is that?

-This a mobile phone. 

-Is not it dangerous! 

-No, of course. 

-OMG, It terrified me. 

-Wait did you see the Phone first time? 

-Yes I saw the phone first time.  

-Wait who are you?  

-I’m Gulliver.  

-Gulliver? It must be a dream, said the boy and fainted.
