At Ladybird, we use stories to unlock the magic in everyday moments. Bath time, meal time or bed time – all are made better by stories! They transform daily routines into big adventures full of unforgettable characters, exploration and play. We call these moments ‘Ladybird Time’ and we believe mini eyes and minds should enjoy as much of it as possible. Even better, little ones are learning as they go.
What does this mean? It means that my books, because of the rankings they received at one point on Amazon, were popular enough to be on the bestseller list
Common tie-in products include literary works, which may be novelizations of a media property, original novels or story collections inspired by the property, or republished previously existing books, such as the novels on which a media property was based, with artwork or photographs from the property.
Why we decided to run a book club?
Firstly, science proves that reading is good for you!
People who read books live longer according to Yale University researchers; who studied 3,635 people older than 50 years old and found that those who read books for 30 minutes daily lived an average of 23 months longer than non-readers did.
The practice of reading books creates cognitive engagement that improves many things; including vocabulary, thinking skills and concentration. It also can affect empathy, social perception, and emotional intelligence, the sum of which helps people stay on the planet longer.
It is a fact that successful people are readers. This is because high achievers are keen on self-improvement and want to learn new things.
Why not trade wasted time on your phone for flipping pages in bed, on the train, during meal breaks or whilst waiting in line?
You might think that a book club is just a place for bookworms to indulge in their passion, or a place for them to have a debate about their favourite characters with like-minded individuals. With the King’s & Queen’s Club, this is certainly not the case! Our book club is open to everyone and offers lifelong benefits to students through the acquisition of knowledge as well as new skills.
