I woke up so happy so I thought I will go outside so I got ready and went outside. I got tired so I went to a café, when I was there I saw a lonely and sad woman, she looked to be in her 20s. We met and her name was Sue. She was sad because her dear friend was very sick and she had “Pneumonia” and she thought her friend might die. I tried to cheer her up but I couldn’t so I asked what was her friend’s name she said Johnsy. I asked if I could meet her and she said sure. When we got there I saw Johnsy was lying in her bed, she was pail. I asked if I and Johnsy could talk alone and Sue said sure. When she and I were talking she told me something: Hey kakhi can you keep this as a secret? I said sure and she told me: I know the time when I will die come closer and looked out the window. Do you see a vine it has 4 leaves but it had 9, when all of the leaves fall I will die. I was shocked I told her: Don’t say that, you will be better soon. She didn’t respond. So I left the room in the other bedroom I saw Sue was crying and I asked her why she told me she didn’t want Johnsy to die she was scared to lose her best friend. I told her she won’t and next I left and I went back to my house. It was 10 p.m. and I was very tired so I went to bed. The next day I remember tomorrow will be Christmas I was happy but I went to Sue’s hotel and I asked her about Johnsy she was sleeping but I asked if I could check on her and when I got in her room I saw that there were 2 leaves left on the vine and after I left Sue’s hotel but at Sue’s house there was an artist and I remember I met him a long time ago. So I knocked on his door he opened it and we had a lil chat he told me how he tried to draw a masterpiece but he couldn’t. After I left the hotel and went to my house. In my house I got a phone call, it was Sue she told me the artist was sick too. I rushed over to the hotel but I was late when I got in the artist’s house he had already dead there was Sue there too I went home sadly. I was very sad so I went to sleep the next day I woke up to a phone call when I answered it was Sue, she told me Johnsy was all better I rushed over to Sue’s hotel and I saw doctors in Johnsy’s room she was all better. It was a Christmas miracle and when I looked out the window the leaf was there and I thought something. Wait I remember how the artist wanted to paint a masterpiece so I got to the artist’s house and I saw that before he died he drew a masterpiece he called it “The last leaf”.

 New Year is the most beautiful festival in the world. It is a perfect time to make some changes. People pray that the coming year would be filled with excitement and wonder.

 People want to celebrate New Year with their families and closest people. We, all know Phileas Fogg, a rich man, who loves travelling a lot. This time he wants to meet New Year in a different situation. He searched on the internet the places, where he didn’t travel and also the poorest children and their families live. His dream is that every child would be happy in 2022. 

 So, Phileas bought a big lorry, where he placed many presents and sweets and his travelling started. First of all, he arrived in Tbilisi. There were many concerts and stalls in the streets. People were in the streets and greeted each other with the arrival of the New Year. Phileas started to give the children gifts and sweets and he said to them: Happy New Year to you. Like many of you, I love the New Year. Take these presents, they are from your Santa. The children were very happy and excited. Phileas continued his travelling happily. All the children danced from the happiness.

 In the evening Phileas visited some villages where he still continued the distribution of gifts. This time everybody was very happy, because it’s New Year and all dreams come true. Phileas came back to his country satisfied.

 My New Year dream is to disappear the covid-19 and all the world continue living as in the old times happily.

Phileas Fogg decided to travel in time with his servant Passpartout. They came to Georgia. It is 31st December 2021 just in time for New Year. They are in Tbilisi, walking in the streets which are decorated with colorful lights. They are surprised because they have never seen so many Christmas decorations and shops selling lots of gifts. Most importantly they are surprised that people wear face masks. 

‘Who are you and why are you dressed in such strange clothes?’ asks a little girl who is standing beside her mother hand-in-hand. 

‘Don’t you have a home? Come to my house and let’s meet the New Year together.’ Says the girl again. 

‘Yes, indeed’, says Mother. ‘You can join us for New Year’s party, sir’. 

Phileas Fogg and Passpartout are happy about this invitation as they do not have a place to stay. They together went to the little girl’s house. The house is beautiful. Phileas Fogg and Passpartout are happy to help lay the table. They tasted Georgian traditional New Year’s food such as Satsivi, Gozinakhi and Churchkhela. They like them very much and ask the hostess for the recipes. 

At twelve o’clock great fireworks started outside. At first the guests were scared of the noise and they hid under the table with the little puppy Skupi. Skupi was really frightened. Phileas tried to calm the puppy down and huged it. Then they together looked out of the window. Everyone was cheerful and said ‘Happy New Year’. Phileas Fogg and passepartout enjoyed their stay in a Georgian family. Now they are going back home but they promise they will come back again next year. Meanwhile, they wish for the year 2022 that people can smile and be happy without face masks and that dogs and birds can be happy without the noise of crackers and fireworks. 

My wish for this year is to go to school and hug my friends without any fear of Covid 19. May this year be the end of the pandemic worldwide and people be happier, kinder and more cheerful!
