In London in the 19th lived Ebenezer Scrooge. Who was an accountant, he loved his job and worked a lot. He wrote down amounts of money in his account books, that is why he was rich. He lived with his family: wife and his two children. Also he had one nephew- Fred. He had his own big family. In Spite of he had a family he did not like people, had no friends. Nobody visited his family when he was at home. He loved money. He did not care about poor people and he was not a giving person.

Scrooge Ebenezer did not love festivals and never celebrated with his family, on these days he always work in his office even on Christmas day, while his family celebrate. They decorated a fir-tree, made dishes, laid the table, and gave presents to each other.

As we known Christmas night is magic time. When scrooge went to the bed he saw a dream. Marley’s spirit came and took Scrooge for travelling in the future century. Scrooge saw modern life. There were Social networks, people could make friends with it, people have to work in a team, they were making presentation in front of an audience. There are also training in works in a big office together, they have to have close relationship with each other, they have a tradition -they play “Secret Santa”, and if you want to be a good Santa, you should be extrovert.

While Scrooge woke up he realized that he should be more kind, friendly, must be caring and giving person. After that he decided to meet New Year with his family, he had a desire that human should be more reliable for him than money.

About the Autor: I am Anna Kurtsikidze. I was born in Georgia, Tbilisi. I have a younger sister and parents. I like painting and dancing. I can sing but unfortunately it is not my hobby. My dream is to become a painter.

Scrooge usually celebrated holidays alone and he thought that it was great. He didn’t have any friends because his only best friend passed away. He was celebrating Christmas with no one. Scrooge used to go shopping before Christmas. He was buying a turkey, some meals and some products. He didn’t have a Christmas tree because he didn’t want to spend any money on it. How can anyone imagine Christmas without a Christmas tree, but it was his character not to spend much money. He had many problems one of his problems was that he didn’t have a washing machine and he was washing his laundry with his hands. Also he had old money from the last century and he didn’t know how to change it in the bank because he had no idea where the bank was. He couldn’t solve his problems. He was shy to ask someone where the bank was that why he couldn’t buy the washing machine. One day he decided to change his mood. He went out to ask people where the bank was people told him where the bank was. He went to the bank and changed old money to new. Then he went to buy some presents and Christmas tree. He also bought a washing machine. He washed his laundry, he cleaned his house, he picked up trash from his room and he went to decorate the Christmas tree. After that he took the presents to people scrooge hurt. After that he came home really tired he went to bed to sleep but he heard knocking he opened the door and saw his friends Scrooge took presents too and he was happy to spend Christmas with his friends

Christine and Raul got married. They had 2 children named Mary and Betty. They loved spending Christmas together and loved spending time with their family. Christine backed and cleaned the house Raul and the kids decorated the Christmas tree. It was like an unwritten rule for them to do this. Before one of the Christmas nights, Raul told Christine something.

-Honey, we don’t have enough money this year to buy presents for Mary and Betty. They will both get so disappointed if they won’t get presents but what can we do?

– I don’t know Raul but I am sure we can’t afford to buy gifts. We barely pay off the rent.

Meanwhile the girls were listening to them. They both didn’t believe in Santa but this year they gave it a try. They wrote letters to Santa and the next day they took the letters to the mail. Santa wasn’t happy this Christmas too. We all know that he has 9 reindeers. One of them got lost while taking training for flying. Its name was Comet. Comet was one of the most magical reindeers. Santa was very worried about Comet his health and about how he would fly around the whole world with 1 reindeer missing.

-Santa, I don’t think that this year you will be able to give presents to every child. Said Miss Claus. Santa was in disbelief. He didn’t know what to do but Betty and Mary weren’t doing well too. They were both walking down the street and saw something magical. A reindeer was flying around and making loud noises. When the reindeer saw the girls, it flew down. At first, they both were scared but then Mary got brave and went a few steps close to the reindeer.  Mary read the name on the collar.

-Comet… wow such a pretty name. I wonder where’s your owner Comet.

-Mary leaves him alone I don’t think we can find his owner in this huge city.

Betty didn’t want to help Comet she was already mad because she wouldn’t get a gift for Christmas. But her kindness and Mary’s puppy eyes got her to say yes. It was Comet’s first night in the other place then North Pole. The next day when Comet woke up it started yelling. Girls ran towards it. Comet was running around the circles like crazy. Mary was a bookworm and she decided to go to the local library. She read a few old books there about mythical creatures. The most shocking thing about reindeers was that they would lose their power to fly after 48 hours without Santa’s magic. Betty and Mary got worried right away and started thinking about what they could do. After a few hours of thinking Betty got a very dangerous but only idea.

-MARY! What if we sit on the comet and he will take us to the North Pole!

-Well, that’s the most stupid idea I have ever heard and if he can fly, he would’ve gone back to the North Pole.

– He is always under human discipline maybe he needs humans to fly.

 They sat on the Comet and waited for the worst. Fortunately, Comet flew high up in the sky. Girls fell asleep but soon enough they woke up. They were both freezing cold. Santa woke them up. In his workshop.

-Hello kids! I must thank you for bringing my reindeer’s Comet back. I can’t be more thankful to you, so I decided to make your wishes come true a little earlier. Mary, you wished for your parents to get a job so just like you wished your parents got hired in a shop. Betty, you wished that all presents that your family wished for would come true and you got what you wished for. And again, thank you for being so kind and respectful.

Oh Christmas is the most exciting time of the year. Every kid enjoys it and embraces it. They sing and dance but still there was someone who did not even care. He was Scrooge. He absolutely hated Christmas. His story didn’t melt his heart for long. He still didn’t care about people, he made sure that everyone had a bad Christmas.

One day he decided to take all the presents away as he always wanted all the presents for himself. He started stealing presents. One of the houses he decided to rob, it was a dark wooden house. Inside there were socks hanging by the fireplace, he started stealing all the presents that he found in the socks. While he was picking them up he saw something strange, it looked round and in the middle there was a red shiny button. Scrooge could not resist and he pushed the button.

It was a teleporter and he got teleported in the 20th century exactly on Christmas day. He looked through a window and saw a young kid unwrapping his present. He did not see the device right next to him. Scrooge saw that Christmas wasn’t about the presents or the tree, it was about family, and he realized that he could not ruin Christmas even if he wanted to have lots of presents. 

As he was leaving he saw the device and he picked it up and went back to his time and he brought back all the presents to the kids. He liked to see all the kids smile. When he went back home he felt a warm feeling inside which made him very happy. “It will last forever” he thought “there is no end of Christmas joy.” After that he was nice to everyone and Christmas became his favourite holiday again.

About me

I am Rusudani, I love books. I am an ultra Disney fan and I love my school. This is what I wish to do in 2022. I want covid nineteen to be over. I also hope that in the future good things will happen and everyone will be happy. I cannot wait for the nearer future. Happy New Year to all.

This was a day before New Year, Christine took a break from work to decorate the house and prepare food. The kids helped her. When Raoul returned home, he liked the scenery very much, praised his wife and even distributed candies to the children. At eleven o’clock Christine and Raoul hide presents under the Christmas tree, at half past eleven the Persians also came, kids were very happy. It was 11:40 one of the kid jack went into the room he sat under the Christmas tree, he was watching TV. Suddenly he felt something in his hand, turned around and could not believe his eyes there was a present.

Jack started crying and also thought: but…mom and dad say….that Santa hide presents at 12 o’clock that mean that mom and was lying. He runs to their sisters and tell them about that, they all started crying. That was a very big problem. The parents didn’t want those kids now that Santa was not real. They decided to tell kids that Santa had a lot of work to do and so he decided to bring it earlier and hid the gifts. The children believed this and happily ran away to play. New Year was saved and the family happily celebrated the New Year.

In 2022 I want to speak English very well and do lots of good things for people. I want to be best in class too.  

New Year was coming. The village was full of happiness, but there was one house, which belonged to Ebenezer Scrooge and his granddaughter Christine, they never had a Happy New Year, they hated New Year because there was one thing that nobody else knew. The thing was that when Christine’s grandmother died her grandfather Ebenezer never laughed again, so she decided to wish her grandmother at New Year, she heard that New Year wishes were always coming true. After that day they started to love New Year. They always remembered that New Year made happiness in people’s hearts. They were as happy as everyone else, they made food for poor people and they had a Happy New Year. I want everyone to solve their problems and have a Happy 2022 Year. 

She told to her grandfather and wished her grandmother to stay with her all the time, but this wish didn’t come true. After this, Ebenezer and Christine started to hate New Year. Time passed and a man called Raul visited them. He was talking about New Year and the happiness that makes in people’s hearts. Ebenezer and Christine didn’t listen to him but when he left they started thinking about his words. They realized that New Year cannot revive a dead woman but she will always be in their hearts.

One day Christine was walking in a city. She saw that citizens finishes decorating giant Christmas tree. At first she couldn’t understand what happened but then she remembered: “I have forgotten, today is 31st December!” she runs home and started decorating her house.  Also she decorated her Christmas tree. It was big and beautiful with colorful lights. Her house was the most beautiful in the street. At 5p.m. she backed a lot of delicious food, put them on the table and decided to call someone because she was bored. She calls Raoul and they had fun. At 8p.m. they didn’t know what they would do. Christine offered Raoul to sing. Raoul agreed and they had opera in Christine’s house. Everyone who lived near Christine’s home, came out to hear Christine’s wonderful voice. It was 10p.m. Christine and Raoul really didn’t know what they can do, so they started eating food that Christine cooked. At 11p.m. they were ready to celebrate New Year. Christine and Raoul wished that they want the New Year. They wished the same thing, to be together forever!

It was 12 o’clock, the firework show started! Red, green, blue, yellow and other color fireworks covered the sky. Fireworks had shapes of different figures: triangles, circles, rectangles and various beautiful figures. Christine and Raoul decided to walk into the city. City was beautiful! There were color lights decorated streets and in every shop was a Christmas tree! In squares were mini shops. There was food, New Year and Christmas toys, also there was Santa! He was giving a lot of gifts to children. Everyone was happy in the city. Christine and Raoul walked in the city for half day! They went to Raoul’s house. He hosted French fries and some drank to Christine. At 4p.m. they went on ice skating. When they entered the skating rink music plays and Christine and Raoul started to dance.

2nd January 11a.m. Christine and Raoul got up, dressed, had breakfast and went on morning walk. One teenager gave them cinema tickets. She gave tickets for free because it was New Year. Cinema would be at 9p.m. Before they went to the cinema they went to the museum. There were old pictures that had no price, old clocks, books, newspapers and more. They liked that museum and were there for 6 hours. After museum they went to a cafe, drank some coffee and ate cake. Then they arrived to the cinema. They watched the film Snow and then all way home they talked about that film. It was about one teen who was Santa and his deer has gone, he found his deer in the zoo and he tried to help his deer and Christmas would be save. While helping deer he met one girl who worked at that zoo. In the end Santa and the girl helped deer and saved Christmas.

What I want to do in New Year

In New Year I want to study more and harder, I want to study playing violin and I want to do something that saves us from covid-19 and other viruses!

Raoul and Christine got on the plane, they wanted to go to New York. On the plane they saw a man that was wearing a black cloth and a white mask. That was very suspicious; he was like Erik. Before they could get out of the plane, it started to move but that man who was like Erik didn’t see them. When the plane landed they didn’t see that man again, he was like a ghost. So they thought it was their imagination. Two weeks later they got married, at their wedding they saw a man in black cloth and a white mask. He walked behind a tree and disappeared. They were very scared, but they decided to talk about what they saw later. One week later, Christine and Raoul were shopping when they saw that man on the plane and at the wedding. So they decided to talk to that man. They found out he was Erik , he explained how he got out of the opera house and when he saw they were getting married he was very furious . He made a building like the opera house in New York. Two years later the building was ready, Raoul and Christine saw it. They decided to go inside the building. It was just like the opera house, but cooler. They were standing on a trap door and they fell in. They saw Erik but they pushed them and used a rope to get out and they called the police. The cops got there and arrested Erik. New York wasn’t a happy place for them, so they moved to England. 

A new friend Ebenezer Scrooge

When they got to England, it was Christmas. Raoul and Christine had no money, they were very hungry, nobody helped them, and in the end they met a nice man called Scrooge. They became friends, when he found out they didn’t have money he invited them to his home, he fed them with traditional England’s food. And also, he gave them money to buy a house, and they lived happily ever after near Ebenezer’s house.

In 2022 I want to be happier with my family, and achieve many goals. Wish you a happy new year 🙂

A boy dressed weirdly sat on a small, brilliantly painted fence far away in America, spinning a globe strangely. The aroma of roasted turkey wafted through the house, caressing his nostrils. Aunt Polly might be seen in the kitchen with pies in her hands in the moonlight. On the roof of the house, Christmas lights twinkled.. Tom spun the unusual globe once more, then softly opened the door and walked by the Christmas tree, as if oblivious to its brilliance. He removed the traditional Georgian outfit “Chokha” from his closet, which he had purchased from Khevsuri Giorgi while in Georgia. He returned to the garden and examined the standing globe on the table, which had only two countries marked on it. What happened to the others? Tom reclined on a wooden swing chair, wrapped in a quilt, and closed his eyes, perplexed. Songs and fireworks mixed with a delicious smell came from Aunt Polly’s kitchen, and the “Chokha fitted him perfectly.” He tried to put back one bullet-case that didn’t seem to fit. OH MY GOD, OH MY GOD, OH MY GOD, The lead of the bullet-case dropped, and colourful balls spilled out. What exactly is this? Tom pondered. If I were with Giorgi, he’d explain it to me!

As soon as he said that, the globe began spinning at top speed. Suddenly, a tremendous wind blew in from nowhere, carrying everything in the air with it. Tom sat in the Swing chair for quite some time. He finally couldn’t hold on any longer and let go of the hand. He couldn’t even figure out how the odd globe snatched him.

 He heard music and recognized some phrases when he opened his eyes: “Mravalzhamier” “Ghmerti” “Sitsotskhle,” I’m in Georgia! He yelled and wore “Chokha” like a true Georgian.

How do I inform Giorgi that I’ve arrived? In his ears, he heard some noises. It’s a magical night today. Wish you had colourful balls! Tom’s fist was filled with bright balls once he opened his eyes wide. I’d like to be where Giorgi is. When the wind blew, Tom entered the lovely realm.

  There were many children in an open space, and you could hear music, laughter, and joyful dances, which enhanced the beauty of the area. Tom was staring at the Georgian snowman, perplexed, as he couldn’t figure out where Santa was. However, he soon recognized Santa in the sled with reindeer. The kids were confused as they stared at Tom. Why do you think that is? He couldn’t understand why Georgians never wore “Chokha” on their colourful trousers and finned hats, and why a thumb from the trainer didn’t make him happy. Tom heard a familiar voice, he opened his eyes wider, he listened carefully, and he began to look around. He recognized Giorgi at the colourful couch, he was happily delivering presents, and Tom froze in the same spot, returning to his own reality. Aunt Polly used to give out gifts to the homeless, orphan, and street kids, he remembered. Tom was also helping her, and Huck Finn was running around in the small town of St. Petersburg, throwing sweets at him. He was hanging Christmas toys on the fence for some.

  Someone ran over Tom, why are you standing here? The ball will be held here soon. You are going to obstruct.

 Tom muttered something. The child was puzzled. 

 – What’s your name? You appear to be stranger.

 – What’s your name, or what’s your surname?

I’m looking for Giorgi, Tom said in an awkward Georgian. He was giving out gifts some place around here, but he has since vanished.

What exactly is this? Tom pondered, is it possible to have a phone without a line? This is something I’m not familiar with.

What?? – The second child was taken aback.

Giorgi, one of my friends, is Khevsuri. He’s a fantastic young man. I paid him a visit once. He was handing out gifts while sitting on the couch.

That’s our Gio! Yelled a stranger. Come on, I’ll take you to him! – They hurried together, holding hands.

Giorgi was standing on stage, hugging and singing with orphan children. Tom dashed over to them and hugged Giorgi.

Remember? I promised I would return!

I promised that we would give orphans gifts for Christmas and the New Year!

Giorgi was babbling and embracing Tom in the Heart, astonished. That is a New Year’s gift. I’m overjoyed! I’m overjoyed! Tom was overjoyed as well.

  I’m Giorgi Arabuli, a happy and fortunate young man. Do you know why I’m so fortunate? God had been contemplating my birth for 16 years, and just as everyone thought he had changed his mind, I was born. That’s why I’m known as Wish Boy.

On a harsh planet, I had to commemorate the year 2022. The world was changed by the pandemic but I believe this is my year. My year is 2022, the year of the tiger. That is why I am confident that everything will work out! I want to be able to hug my friends without being afraid. Participate in the Olympic Games. I wish to aid abandoned people and children so that my mother and I can continue our favourite job. Let there be peace on Earth! Merry Christmas (Christmas greetings.)

When Jimmy got out from prison once again he asked Annabel for becoming his wife and she said yes. 15 years later Jimmy and Annabel lived with their 3 children: Jack (13 years old), Sam (9 years old) and Mary (4 years old). It was 31 December whole family was waiting for snow because in winter there always was snow. They lived in the forest near London.

Jimmy and Jack were in the forest cutting the tree for New Year’s tree, they found one and cut it. Then they wanted to go home they were lost in the forest. They fell into confusion.

Jack and Jimmy were standing in the middle of the forest. It started to snowing and it was so hard to see. There was wolf noises. There also was the wind. Everything was against Jack and Jimmy. Mom Mary and Sam were nervous they knew that there were wolves in that forest.

It was getting darker. There was a lake in that forest so they catch fishes and eat those fishes. Then someone came to Jimmy and Jack and said:

 – I heard that one man was screaming was that you?

 – Yes it was me.

 – What do you need?

 – I need to go out of this forest.

 – Then follow me.

 – Oh okay.

That one man was named David. He was part of the group that was helping people who were stuck in forests.

– Where do you need to go Sir?

 – I want to get out of this forest then I will go to my house by myself.

They went to their house and saw the letter.

Hi Jimmy It’s me Annabel if you are reading this go to my mum’s house. Sam, Mary and me are in Manchesterat my mum’s house and please come here. There is money on the table to buy a train ticket      

 – Jack take your stuff.

 – Why?  

 – We are going to your grandma’s house.

 – Your mother, Sam and Mary are there.

They went to Manchester.
