Ninu Gurgenadze – Christmas Night

It was the 31st of December. Families and friends were having fun and making some food for Christmas Eve and girls were making Christmas ornaments. August was all alone, and he had no chores. Gaia and Eddy where helping mom and they were making ginger cookies.  Mulan was happy and she was choosing Christmas Eve clothes. Soon Miranda came and August was so happy. Miranda hugged everyone and August was exited and surprised. Christmas was coming soon and they were waiting for a Santa Claus. Eddy wanted a new phone and Gaia too. Mulan wanted a new dress with some ornaments and August wanted a little dog. They were all waiting for their presents. The Christmas Eve festivities started. The children were eating cookies and some sweets. Mulan said:

  • “Look at my clothes they are so expensive and beautiful.”
  • “Oh, yes, they are nice”, everyone agreed with a smile.

Everyone was hopeful; they drank wine and sang songs. The children were so happy, and they didn’t want to go to sleep.

Soon there was a little noise behind the window. August and Eddy were very scared by this little noise and were holding each other in fear. Miranda opened a window and she saw Santa Claus. She couldn’t believe her eyes and she screamed with joy. The children were so happy to see Santa, but Santa was really the Grinch pretending to be Santa. He was stealing Christmas presents and ornaments from the house.

The Grinch said:

  • “Ok, children, go back to the bed please and remember you didn’t see me! Understood?”
  • “No, Mr. Claus, we should go with you!”
  • “Ok, come with me.”
  • “Ok, let’s go.”

Santa was very funny, and he was stealing things with the children. They were having fun with Santa and August said that it was the best Christmas he ever had. They went to the roof and there was the Little Prince with the fox and they were happy to see them. Santa gasped and said:

  • “I read a book and you were one of the characters!”

They realized that the person they thought was Santa, was actually the Grinch in disguise. The police came and the children told the police that the Grinch was the thief and that Santa was innocent. After that they returned home and thanked Santa for their gifts and a magical Christmas night. They said goodnight and went to sleep.

It was the best Christmas ever.
