Nini Oniani – Christmas Essay

Sherlock started preparing for New Year a week prior. He went to the market with his wife to buy products. The process of selecting and buying gifts, which was Sherlock’s duty every year, remained so. On New Year’s Eve, a noise came from the house on Pasteri Street. Sherlock Holmes sat contently in a chair in front of the fireplace, twirling his pipe in one hand and holding a glass of wine in the other. He poured red wine into the glass, which was special to him. From the kitchen came the pleasant smell of the Gozinak, which his wife was cooking. Children were playing near the Christmas tree and they were excited to open their presents.

Sherlock was satisfied that he had successfully completed his task of selecting, wrapping and placing the presents under the Christmas tree. He looked thoughtfully at the fireplace and waited for his friend Watson. They decided to celebrate the New Year together.

Together, they had to finish writing a report on the theft that happened last week. Sherlock wished that the next year would have fewer murders and more time to start a new case. Also, the family would not have to postpone the many times promised vacation, and they would spend it together in the village with Aunt Marta. He was awakened from his thoughts by the conversation of his wife, who could not make it to dinner and asked Sherlock for help. A knock on the door saved Sherlock. It had to be Watson.

In 2023, I want to learn knitting, adopt a puppy, go on a trip to Disneyland in France and attend a Messi  football match.
