August Pullman and his family want to celebrate New Year in their family circle. August and Jack went to buy some Christmas lights for their own Christmas tree. They bought a lot of Christmas decorations but they spent a lot of time on them. As soon as they got home, they decorated their own Christmas tree with baubles. That day was the last school day. They hoped the teacher wouldn’t give them difficult homework as she had done before.
They entered the classroom, but the teacher let them go without any homework. The boys were very happy to hear that and they went to Jack’s place to play some Xbox. On the way home they met a boy, who was crying and sneezing. August asked him why he was upset and the boy answered and told him that everyone was laughing at him. Nobody wanted to play with him, as he was sneezing when he was near plants. He said that people thought he had a contagious disease, but it was only hay fever. August was very surprised to hear that and said: “Don’t worry, they laugh at you because they don’t understand how good you are. Don’t pay attention to them.”
August continued walking home. It was already New Year’s Eve. His mother went shopping with August. They wanted to buy some candy. They met Jack and Julian at the shopping mall. They were talking about Christmas presents. Jack said that he wanted a new Iphone 13 and Julian wanted a new PS5. August wanted nothing but new friends. It’s already 12:00 and fireworks are lighting up the sky.
