It was almost 11 o’clock when Dr. Watson and his wife arrived at Baker Street. They were going to celebrate New Year together. Watson brought all types of food and drinks and they were really excited to meet the New Year together. They also exchanged gifts. Watson got Sherlock a new hat and a notebook to write down his notes while solving crimes. Sherlock bought Watson a new pair of glasses. They were both really happy. When it was half past eleven the table was already set and they were singing New Year and Christmas songs. They were really excited and when it was 11:59, they counted down the seconds!
Everyone shouted happily, and some of their friends also arrived. Sherlock set new goals for 2023 which included solving 100 crime cases, moving into a new apartment and reading 150 books. I think Sherlock would achieve his goals because he is a very smart man and he could get a lot of money for solving cases. Watson had different goals including reading 300 books, learning how to cook and figuring out how to use Social Media the right way. I think Watson would also achieve his goals now that he does not live with Sherlock and does not follow him around while solving cases. Mostly he is at home and has plenty of free time.
Now let’s get back to the New Year’s celebration.
After the clock struck 12 o’clock, everyone started shooting fireworks into the sky. Sherlock did not shoot any because he knew that it might hit an animal and hurting animals is bad. The fireworks were really pretty and everyone gasped as they saw the fireworks in the sky! There were thousands of fireworks and all of them were different colors. Everyone had a fun time on New Year’s!
