1.We all had to choose one character from any book. We have discussed and say all about how they would celebrate New Year’s Eve, what goals they would set for themselves in new year eve and etc.
I chose Mr. Darcy from pride and prejudice. I’d like to start with how he would celebrate it. We all know he is wealthy so he would celebrate it in his big fancy mansion, with his relatives and his partner, also with his dear friends. He would probably organize a party, because that is what he usually does when something important happens.
The main goal of Mr. Darcy would be for him to change his personality, in a good way of course, he would focus on himself and would choose to be more polite and less arrogant.
On the whole I think he would achieve his goals, after all, he has a supportive partner.
2. we had to imagine one day in 2022 that keeps repeating itself, which day in 2022 would you choose to relive repeatedly? why?
This was hard for me to decide, but I finally made up my mind. I would choose to revile this one day, December 28, that time, my cousins and me gathered together, unfortunately they live in Tbilisi, so we see each other on holidays only, but that does not stop us, that day we all met up and went to the center of Kutaisi ALONE that was the most exciting thing to do, I really enjoyed that day I would be glad if it would repeat every day.
3. what kind of superstitions do people have about New Year’s Eve?
Think about the things people do during this celebration to attract good luck, money and other positivity.
There are a lot of them, but I will name two of them, the first one is nine and most of the time children do it.
They wait until there are seconds left till New year’s, they get a paper , write their biggest wish there, burn the paper and then ashes go into the champagne glass and the moment it turns midnight they have to sip that champagne .
The second one is more traditional, when it is exactly 3 AM, you get a candle, light it up, then you go outside your balcony and look up In the sky and think of a wish you want to come true.
I did all of them this New year’s and I am sure all the wishes will come true
4. Why is important to set goals? What is your goals?
It is important to set goals for yourself, it’s the best thing you can do, my goals is to be the best version of myself
5. In Georgia we celebrate New year’s by inviting to our house and celebrating it together, also we all buy fireworks and blow them in the air
