Data Berishvili – August in Germany

August is in Germany on Christmas. August knows how to speak German. He learnt German at school. Before Christmas, August’s family went shopping and no one was home. When they returned, they saw that a window was broken and discovered that their plane tickets had been stolen. They called the police, but the police could not help them. August wrote a letter to Santa that read as follows.

Dear Santa, 

My Christmas wish is that our plane tickets will be returned to us. My second wish is that I would be the most beautiful girl in the world.  I know that you cannot grant me two wishes and therefore I am begging you only to return our plane tickets to my family. I hope you can make my wishes come true. 

On the 24^th of December we baked Christmas biscuits and had so much fun. We went into town to enjoy the big Christmas tree and all the beautiful decorations. When we returned home we had dinner and went to bed. I heard a noise and got up out of bed. I saw Santa Claus placing presents under our tree! The next morning I opened my present and was amazed to find our plane tickets inside! My parents were so happy.

This was the best Christmas I have ever had. At school I told everyone what had happened, but no one believed me. My friends thought that I was lying, but I did not mind as my wish made my family very happy.
