Hello, I am August, and I’m eleven years old. I live in New York in a small house. I have a big sister named Via and I have a puppy, too. It is December, and I really cannot wait for my Christmas Holidays! Via and I set the table, Alice played with my puppy, my mum went to the market and my dad was in the kitchen preparing the food.
Mum came back from the market. We all sat down and started to eat. We started talking about Christmas!

Now it is five o’clock and we are cooking food for our Christmas feast. We prepare a turkey, pies and chopped nuts boiled in honey. At first, I wanted to prepare all the dishes on my own, but when I could not, I called my mother and we continued together. At midnight we will celebrate the New Year and we will watch TV and eat candies! Via will invite her friend Miranda. Miranda and Via are best friends! They are classmates. I like Miranda too. She is a very good friend. She is like my big sister!
Now it is midnight and we are celebrating the arrival of the New Year! We are eating cakes and watching the movie “Home Alone”. Miranda is here too. Outside, everybody is firing fireworks into the sky and they are very happy!
On Christmas Eve, I ran to open my presents. I wanted an astronaut suit. Alice wanted a new dress and new shoes! Via wanted a new book. We went to see the big Christmas tree in the center of our city! This Christmas tree is very beautiful. After an hour, we got back home, played PlayStation games for an hour and then went to sleep.
I am Aleksandra Gelovani. I am 10 years old and I live in Georgia. In 2023, I want to be a good student and make my parents proud.
