Nutsa Bachiashvili – Christmas Essay

I will tell you about the Little Prince and how he celebrated the New Year.

It was New Year’s Eve. The Little Prince was thinking about his friend the fox. He decided to go to the fox and celebrate the New Year with him. On his way he encountered people cooking New Year’s food. The Prince wanted to learn about this holiday. Everything was covered with snow including the trees and the ground. It was snowing heavily. The Little Prince knew snow well.

Soon the little Prince saw a white animal. He thought that it was his friend the fox, but the Prince didn’t believe this, because foxes were yellow. The animal said that he was the fox but that he was white because he was covered with snow. Both were very happy and entered the house.

The fox told him everything about New Year’s Eve: On New Year’s Eve families get together and they make food including turkey, pork, cakes and sweets. The little Prince was listening with great interest.

Then they decorated the Christmas tree. The Prince was trimming the tree and the fox was cooking the food. Suddenly the Little Prince asked the fox: “Do you have a mother?” The fox answered: “Yes, I have a mother, and you?” The Prince could not answer him. He didn’t know who his mother was. The Prince wanted to meet the New Year with his mother.

Suddenly someone knocked at the door. The fox opened the door. There was a woman who looked a lot like the Prince. The fox gave a clue to the Little Prince with a friendly smile: “All children are like their parents.” The Little Prince guessed that this woman was his mother. The Little Prince hugged her.

The fox helped the Little Prince find his mother. Everyone was very happy. At twelve o’clock they congratulated each other. The Little Prince told his mother about his old and new adventures. The Little Prince and his mother returned to the Prince’s planet and they lived there happily ever after.
