Don&#8217;t worry about those people; just focus on the good results.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/upload.wikimedia.org\/wikipedia\/commons\/9\/9a\/Charette-1.jpg\" width=\"210\" height=\"318\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Where does it come from?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This saying was said by\u00a0<span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">Fran\u00e7ois de Charette. He was one of the leaders of a Royalist counter-revolt in the Vend\u00e9e region of France during the French Revolution. The War in the Vend\u00e9e, as it&#8217;s now known, lasted several years and resulted in the deaths of hundreds of thousands. In March of 1796, Charette was captured by republican forces and put on trial, during which, according to\u00a0<\/span><em style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">Walker&#8217;s\u00a0<\/em><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">account:<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<blockquote><p>It was remarked to him that he had caused the death of a great many persons.
