On July 16, 1969, astronauts Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Michael\nCollins lifted off from Launch Pad 39A at NASA\u2019s Kennedy Space Center in\nFlorida on a journey to the Moon and into history. Four days later, while\nCollins orbited the Moon in the command module, Armstrong and Aldrin landed\nApollo 11\u2019s lunar module, Eagle, on the Moon\u2019s Sea of Tranquility, becoming the\nfirst humans to set foot on the lunar surface.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
