Phileas Fogg is getting ready for the New Year. He is very fond of the New Year holiday. Do you remember Jean Passepartout? Of course! He is Phileas Fog’s servant, who helps him in everything. Every New Year Phileas Fogg has a tradition of helping poor families, because he is a very kind person.

His wife Aouda prepares delicious dishes for the New Year. Reform Club members have been invited for the New Year. Phileas Fogg’s supper is varied. He also added Georgian dishes to the table (Satsivi, Gozinaki) and made the table more diverse. Aouda also added Indian dishes.

However before the New Year they decided to come to the children’s shelter because there is no New Year without kindness and gifts. They gave lots of nice gifts to the kids. The children were delighted and happy. That evening the big snow came Philia Fogg, Postpartum and Aouda stood with Santa Claus in the yard with the kids, hugged each other, then set up a big Christmas tree in the hall, decorated it with toys and had a fun time.

Twenty returned home with members of their Reform Club, Aouda’s Indian relatives were also welcomed, and they all wished each other a Happy New Year.

New Year is coming. New expectations, new wishes and new adventures are coming with New Year. It would be interesting for me how Phileas Fogg, his family and his friends are going to celebrate New Year. This is what I am going to write about in my essay.

Phileas Fogg and his wife are decorating Christmas tree , Jean Passepartout is cooking ginger breads and other Christmas meals too, throwing fireworks, singing and playing, inviting close friends but they do not know how to use their phones so Aouda has got a friend whose name is Mr. Seeker. Aouda sends a letter  and asks for help. Mr. Seeker comes to their house and helps them. Phileas Fogg must be very interested in modern technologies, internet and this would be a challenge but he would not be afraid of challenges. He would use the internet and modern technologies to travel again in those countries where he travelled around the world in 80 days. Aouda would learn how to use internet and order food by Glovo.

Finally, if Phileas Fogg travelled in 21th century he would have some problems in learning technologies, but he would overcome it soon.

As for me, I would like to travel in the USA, visit Disneyland and have fun there in 2022. I can visit amusement parks, a rollercoaster, fairytale land where I can meet Snow White, Elsa and many others.

Nikoloz Mania – Gulliver’s New Year Story https://englishbookgeorgia.com/blogebg/nikoloz-mania-gullivers-new-year-story/ Tue, 01 Mar 2022 08:39:05 +0000 http://englishbookgeorgia.com/blogebg/?p=15413 Continue reading Nikoloz Mania – Gulliver’s New Year Story ]]>

Gulliver and his friends appeared in Tbilisi in 2021. This was the day before the New Year. They said: We never saw such a beautiful street. They saw a very high Christmas tree too. They liked small toys on the tree. They saw Santa Claus too. Gulliver and his friends ran to the Christmas tree. When they ran, they saw a strange thing that had 4 wheels. The boy on the street said to them: Watch out! They jumped:

-What’s that?

-This is a car.

– A Car?!

-This car is smaller than my ship.

– A Ship?

-And where is your ship?

-It disappeared.

-Who are they?

-They are my friends.

-And where are you going to sleep?

-We don’t know that too.

-Come to my house.

-I have many beds for you.

-Really?

-Yes, of course.

-Thank you very much!

-They went to his house and slept. It was 12 o’clock. When Gulliver stood, he saw a strange thing again. It was a mobile phone. Gulliver asked the boy: – What is that?

-This a mobile phone.

-Is not it dangerous!

-No, of course.

-OMG, It terrified me.

-Wait did you see the Phone first time?

-Yes I saw the phone first time.

-Wait who are you?

-I’m Gulliver.

-Gulliver? It must be a dream, said the boy and fainted.

How Should Publishers Organize Their Content https://englishbookgeorgia.com/blogebg/how-should-publishers-organize-their-content/ Mon, 17 Jul 2017 08:56:39 +0000 http://englishbookgeorgia.com/blogebg/?p=5730 Continue reading How Should Publishers Organize Their Content ]]>

organize-wordpress-content

Publishers are beginning to warm up to the idea of organizing their content. Carl Robinson, a senior consultant at Ixxus, has identified five questions to help with the process.

Where is your content?

To start organizing, you first need to find where your content is in the first place. Most content exists on hard drives or in databases, but there are some in spreadsheets as well.

Are you being effective?

Sometimes, you may find it more effective to just rebuy your content instead of devoting resources to finding it. In short, you need to keep track of your time, money and employees.

Are you aware of how many people are consuming your content?

Too many publishers think that content is just the literal content of printed books. In today’s digital world, nothing could be further from the truth. Instead of focusing on the format, publishers should focus on getting it to as many people as possible.

Are you protecting your content?

Intellectual property is important, since that’s how publishers make money! Creating an ECM solution helps protect it. Publishers often work with third parties, which is risky because there’s not a lot of transparency. With an ECM system, you can introduce a lot of control into the situation.

Are you using metadata?

Using metadata has a lot of advantages, because you can easily introduce consistent results to content management. When searching for something, you often find things you didn’t know you were looking for that ended up being useful. Metadata helps make that a consistent thing.
